Mandatory Pre-Tournament Zoom Meeting - each team must have their Head Coach at this meeting. It is also encouraged that the Team Manager attend. Failure of the Head Coach to attend will result in the Head Coach being suspended from the first game.
North Carolina Tier 1: Tuesday, January 31 at 8pm
North Carolina and South Carolina Tier 2 - Tuesday, February 21 at 8pm
Tournament Seedings & Schedule - the seedings will be completed 2 weeks prior to the tournament and we will release the final schedule at that point. Per Tournament rules, seedings will be determined using MyHockeyRankings 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. The final schedule will be released with team names and seeds 2 weeks prior to the tournament.

We Honor The Game Here Awards each game a player will be named by their Head Coach as a Role Model for ROOTS behaviors - Respect for Rules, Opponents, Officials, Teammates, and Self. The process will be explained at the mandatory meeting.
2023 CAHA Tournament Commemorative T-shirts (available in short and long sleeve) will be available ONLY via pre-order. The orders must be completed through this registration/payment process only and must be completed by February 15, 2023. T-shirts will be delivered to the Team Manager when they check-in at the Tournament for distribution to their teams. T-shirts will not be available for purchase at the Tournament. There are no refunds.

EVERY GAME, THE COACH FROM EACH TEAM SELECTS A PLAYER THAT “HONORS THE GAME” BY SHOWING RESPECT FOR RULES, OPPONENTS, OFFICIALS, TEAMMATES, & SELF
CAHA has partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to foster a culture of respect in our member associations. PCA is a national non-profit organization with the mission of creating a positive, character-building youth sports environment that results in BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE. To do this, we support players, coaches, and volunteers in our Associations who are role models for the principles of “We Honor the Game Here” – Respect for ROOTS - Rules, Opponents, Officials, Teammates, Self.
AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TEAM MANAGERS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TOURNAMENT. THE COACH IS TO PRESENT THE AWARD TO THE PLAYER AFTER EACH GAME AND FORWARD A PICTURE OF THE PLAYER WITH THE AWARD TO CAHA.
The CAHA Championship Tournaments are the qualifying tournaments to advance teams to the Southeastern District Tournament and the USA Hockey National Championships.
The tournaments are open to all Tier I and Tier II teams in applicable age classifications.
This registration must be completed by the Head Coach or Team Manager for any team making a declaration for the Southeastern District Tournament and/or the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament or an application to participate in the CAHA Tier II State Championship Tournaments.
All Youth Tier I, Youth Tier II, Girls Tier I and Girls Tier II national tournament bound teams must complete this application.
CAHA will make declarations to the Southeastern District Championship Tournament and the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament based on the number of applications received. If an application is not received in a category/age classification/state, CAHA will not declare a team in that a category/age classification/state to the Southeastern District or USA Hockey.
Teams assuming a bye that do not complete this application, will NOT be entered in the Southeastern District and/or the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament.
REGISTRATION OPENS ON NOVEMBER 1 and CLOSES ON NOVEMBER 21 AT 11:59PM

Application/Fee Timeline:
November 1, 2022 - Application/Declaration registration opens.
November 21, 2022 - Application/Declaration registration closes.
December 21, 2022 - Payment due for teams competing in the CAHA Tier I and Tier II State Tournaments. Teams have 7 days to withdraw in writing without penalty.
